King Arthur Flour Supports the Great American Bake Sale to Help End Childhood Hunger

Cookies Sold Aug. 6 to 12 at The Baker's Store Will Benefit Children in Need through Share Our Strength's Great American

Bake Sale

July 23, 2007 – Norwich, Vt. – Want to make a difference while indulging your sweet tooth? Stop by The Baker’s Store at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vt., between August 6 and 12, 2007, and we’ll donate 50 cents of every cookie purchase to Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale to help end childhood hunger.

In addition to offering a variety of fresh-baked cookies – including Flourless Chocolate Cookies, Ameretti Bianci, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Coconut Macaroons – The Baker’s Store at King Arthur Flour has information on how you can host your own Great American Bake Sale, as well as the ingredients and tools you’ll need to do it yourself.

Nationally, more than 12 million children are at risk of hunger. Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign to help end childhood hunger in America by granting funds to local organizations that work to increase participation by low-income children in summer and after-school feeding programs, and to support nutrition education programs for low-income families. Since 2003, the campaign has raised over $3 million. For more information, visit greatamericanbakesale.org.
