Do you think this would work in a crock pot? We are having a retirement party at work in the afternoon. I'm thinking I could bring the dip mixed in a container and put it in the crock pot maybe a few hours before the party and sprinkled with pre-toasted panko bread crumbs. Any other suggestions on keeping it warm until the party?
Yes, the crock pot would work just fine. You could also keep the dip warm at a low oven temperature. ~Amy

Made this for friends last night. It was a huge hit. Easy as can be and so delicious. It's also pretty good cold spread on crackers.

Just a note to say I love the photo of a KAF employee eating your food--it makes it more real, somehow. Easier for me to imagine enjoying it myself. (Not that it was hard, with all the cheese in this one... mm.) Can you post more people-eating-the-food photos in future blog posts? It's hard to get a picture of the employees eating food from the test kitchen because it disappears so fast! Molly @ KAF

Hi kt,
I agree with Molly, we can polish off a plate of goodies in no time flat! I will try to 'capture the moment' again some time soon.
Happy Baking! ~ MaryJane

Gotta try it one day, but I just want to say that your 'hot-yet_.jpg' pic (before "When the dip begins to bubble") looks like it has a tiny mouse in the centre! He he.

OH my Gosh, you're right! If you look at it just right, it does look like a tiny mouse face! I am a huge fan of Mickey Mouse, and the Hidden Mickey so maybe this is just fate. Thanks for pointing it out. (Yvette said I should add "no mice were harmed in the making of this dip!") ~ MaryJane

I made this last night and it was a huge hit! Almost disappeared as quickly as when you put it out in the test kitchen... Thanks so much for posting this delicious treat.

Oh that looks great! a nice change from the usual stuff. It got me thinking about using the basic recipe to create a pot luck dish- like maybe some diced chicken with this layered over it and baked.
Ohhh, that does sound good. Served over brown rice maybe? ~ MaryJane
