- Can I freeze and/or microwave these pans?
- Yes, these are ideal for freezing, either before or after baking. They’re also microwave-safe. Note: Clear plastic lids are not microwave-safe nor oven-proof.
- What kinds of unbaked treats freeze best?
- We’ve found yeast dough freezes very well; dough leavened with baking powder or baking soda, not as well.
- Do I grease the pans?
- No, they don’t need greasing; and greasing may discolor the lighter-weight pans.
- How much batter or dough do I use in the pan?
- As a general rule, fill pans 2/3 full.
- Do I have to adjust the baking temperature or time?
- No, bake just as your recipe (for the same size metal or ceramic pan) directs.
- Is there a maximum temperature limit?
- 390°F is the maximum temperature we advise for these pans, with the exception of the wooden pans, whose upper limit is 425°F.
- To bake, do I put them on a pan (or use them as a liner in a metal pan?)
- These pans are designed to be free-standing, but it helps to put them on a baking sheet, for easy transport into and out of the oven. The tulip muffin cups aren’t free-standing; they should be used as liners in muffin pans.
- How many can I put in the oven at once?
- As many as you would any other similar-sized pan.
- How do I get the cake (bread, bun, muffin) out?
- You can serve right from the pan. Simply peel the paper sides away as you cut and serve.
- Can I re-use them?
- No, these are single-use pans.
