Whole wheat and whole grains

Whole wheat, like other whole grains, is an important part of a healthy diet. Health experts advise us these days to make at least half of our grains whole – to eat at least three servings, or 48 grams, of whole grains daily. Medical evidence shows that whole grains reduce the risk of many chronic diseases – such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and obesity – and lead to better weight maintenance.

Adding more whole wheat flour to the things you bake can be a simple and delicious way to get more of the benefits of whole grains into your daily diet. King Arthur’s whole wheat flours are milled with their baking quality in mind, to yield the very tastiest results.

Traditional and white whole wheat flour, which contain the entire wheat berry – bran, germ, and endosperm – are important sources of niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, protein, and insoluble dietary fiber.

The Whole Grain Stamp

The Whole Grain Stamp makes it easy to identify products that are good sources of whole grains; look for it on our whole wheat flours in your local supermarket.
