Working at King Arthur Flour
Our mission:
To be a creative and profitable company that’s a product, information, and education resource for, and inspiration to, bakers worldwide...
Our purpose
The King Arthur Flour Company seeks to build communities worldwide through the creative joy of baking. This is our reason for being; it reaches beyond the bottom line into everything we do. Our purpose within our own company is to:
- Inspire and guide each and every person at King Arthur.
- Expand, prosper, and endure.
- Provide employee-owners with guidance and support as the business constantly grows and changes.
Employment philosophy
Our business and mission springs from wheat, familiarly known as the staff of life. We're guided by a commitment to exceptional product quality, to honesty, and to the education, enrichment, empowerment, and welfare of our customers and our employees. We want to do things the right way for the right reasons. Just as our flour embodies the Arthurian qualities of strength and purity, so do we, as people, try to emulate the Round Table virtues of loyalty and integrity.
Employees work as teams, participating in decision-making, helping one another accomplish company goals, and carrying responsibility for their own area of expertise. Just as plants grow well when they receive warmth and food, so do people thrive in their jobs when they hear kind words and receive a helping hand.
Employee ownership
King Arthur Flour is a 100% employee-owned company. That means that each person working here has a real stake in the company’s success - or failure. We strive to offer the highest quality ingredients, tools, and service for our customers, because we believe that’s the right way to do business.
We also strive to be a positive force in our communities - locally, nationally, and in the business world - because we believe in “doing well by doing good.” Through our efforts, we hope to inspire our customers and partners so we may all work together toward a better world.
