Summer in Vermont is the ideal time to visit King Arthur Flour. The Green Mountains offer beautiful vistas, and sunny days alternate with pleasantly cool nights. Berries, fresh corn, and tomatoes beckon all of us—natives and visitors alike—into the fields here in our pretty river valley.
We invite you to join us at our Norwich campus as we spend lazy summer days creating delicious treats. Our education center features a tempting array of classes, and our store is packed with everything you need for your summertime baking. Grab a sandwich from our bakery, and enjoy a picnic at our outdoor tables overlooking the pond.
Our Baker’s Store kitchen is a busy place all year-round, and especially so in the summer. Delicious garden-fresh produce from the farmstand next door is highlighted in all kinds of warm-weather favorites, from pancakes and muffins to scones and yeast bread. Watch Bonny as she demonstrates special test kitchen tips, then enjoy free samples of tasty baked treats. Here at King Arthur, we’re always baking—and we’d love you to join us.
While the rest of the world slumbers, our artisan bakers are already stocking the shelves of the King Arthur Bakery. As the sun rises, hot baguettes and lusty sourdough loaves are pulled out of the oven, and the finishing touches are put on Danish, cinnamon rolls, and sticky buns. Elegant European-style pastries, including fruit tarts, napoleons, and chocolate croissants, share space with all-American favorites like whoopie pies and chocolate chip cookies. Our new Harvest Bread is a wonderful combination of cranberries, golden raisins, and walnuts in a chewy, flavorful sourdough loaf. Visit our in-store Bakery—where baking comes straight from the heart(h).

- Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Closed: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
- EARLY CLOSING Friday, Sept. 12: The Baker’s Store will close at 3 p.m. Sept. 12 so that we can enjoy our company picnic. We’ll reopen Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

From Boston
- Take I-93 North through New Hampshire until it meets I-89 (just outside of Concord, New Hampshire).
- Follow I-89 North until it meets I-91 in White River Junction, Vermont.
- Take I-91 North to exit 13. Go straight down the off-ramp.
- At the light, take a left and go under the highway.
- At the next light, take another left onto Route 5 South.
- On Route 5 South, look for our gray building with red trim on the left hand side, just past the car dealership and less than 1/2 mile from the lights.
From New York City
- Take I-95 North to New Haven, Connecticut. In New Haven, take I-91 North.
- Continue on I-91 until exit 13 in Vermont. Go straight down the off-ramp.
- At the light, take a left and go under the highway.
- At the next light, take another left onto Route 5 South.
- On Route 5 South, look for our gray building with red trim on the left hand side, just past the car dealership and less than 1/2 mile from the lights.
