"The Baking Sheet" from King Arthur Flour Wins Two Magnum Opus Awards

Baking Newsletter Wins Awards in the "Oscars" of Custom Publishing

King Arthur Flour's bi-monthly baking newsletter, The Baking Sheet, has been honored in the 8th Annual Magnum Opus awards, the leading awards program dedicated exclusively to custom publishing. The Baking Sheet received Silver Awards in the Best Overall Editorial and Best Use of Photography Single Issue categories.

The award program is sponsored by ContentWise in conjunction with the Missouri School of Journalism. In 2009, The Baking Sheet won a Silver Award in the Best Redesign category and in 2008 won Best Regular Feature category for its "Recipe Makeover" column.

"We're thrilled with the recognition The Baking Sheet has received from the Magnum Opus awards," says Editor Susan Reid. "We've worked hard over the years to create a lively, interactive, high-quality experience for our readers. Our excitement about baking and passion for delivering quality is obviously paying off!"

The Baking Sheet began publication in 1990 and has since grown from a black-and-white, 7 ½"-by-8 ½" newsletter to a full-size, 24-page booklet including a wide variety of recipes, all color photographs, process illustrations, extra tips and information, news about what's happening at King Arthur Flour, and regular departments from King Arthur Flour employee-owners like "Bread Machine Bounty," "When Company’s Coming," and "Recipe Makeover." Each issue of the bi-monthly baking newsletter is mailed to over 24,000 subscribers.

Subscriptions to The Baking Sheet cost just $21.95 a year (six issues) and are available through King Arthur Flour – the Baker's Catalogue and online at kingarthurflour.com.
