Prevent your screen from going dark as you follow along.
  1. Preheat your waffle maker while you prepare the waffle batter.

  2. Whisk together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, milk, sour cream, and molasses.

  4. Mix together the wet and dry ingredients until they're just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy; that's OK.

  5. Pour the batter into your greased, preheated waffle maker and bake according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Tips from our Bakers

  • These waffles can be made ahead and stored in the freezer. When it's time for breakfast, just pop them in the in the toaster and serve up some smiles.
