Tried it on my ancient waffle iron. Had a bit of a sticking issue, but that's more the iron than the recipe. I left out the sugar and used whole wheat flour with flax seed oil. A bit bland, according to my husband, but I found it very tasty!

Really excellent waffles! Might be my new go-to recipe. They were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I used all butter and no oil, and I used white whole wheat flour. Modifications: added 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp vanilla, per another reviewer's suggestions. I added finely chopped pecans on top before I baked them, which is what we usually do with waffles. When I make these again, I will experiment with substituting some oil for the butter (but not too much or they probably won't be as crispy) and reducing the sugar.

These were delicious! Made enough to take to work for 9AM break at the ship yard!

My kids DEVOURED these waffles. I should have doubled the recipe!! After reading through the other comments I made a few changes. I added 1/2 tsp baking soda. I also added a 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt and reduced the butter to 1/4 cup. Next time I will try substituting brown sugar for the white sugar. I will definitely be adding this recipe to my collection!

I thought this was one of my best WW waffles I have yet to make(and I am a waffle freak:). Being vegan, I simply substituted the egg, milk and butter, and skipped out on the sugar. I added cinnamon & nutmeg, and replaced 1/2 cup flour for quick cooking oats, and blueberries on the second waffle in. The slightly crunchy texture was quite satisfying. *** I even like to poke holes all over my waffles and let the syrup soak in for a couple minutes before I dig in! An old family secret I picked up from my dad, I am reluctant to give it up, but everyone should enjoy their waffles as much as I do! This is the deal breaker - Try it, I promise you cannot be let down! ***

The waffles taste so delicious. The taste is very similiar to regular waffles, but with a little more whole wheat flavor. The cooking takes a little longer than regular waffles by about 1-2 minutes.

AMAZING!!! This is my new favorite waffle recipe for sure. After my initial attempt, I tripled the recipe, using 1 part canola oil, 2 parts Olive Oil. I added 1 TBS of vanilla to my batter (the tripled one). I also separated my egg, folding in the white after everything else was mixed. Using 100% WWH gave these a crunchy outside and moist inside. They were made on a Cuisinart Waffle Iron.

These were DELICIOUS! I doubled the recipe and used the KAF white WW, and added ~ 2 T. of o.j. The kids, who can be rather fussy about their food, loved them! They were great topped with fresh blackberries...

Ooops, I meant to say in my previous review that I used buttermilk INSTEAD of milk for the waffles.
