I too get my cookbooks from the rribaly, if possible, before purchasing. I love checking them out and browsing through them my idea of a good time! ;) I haven't ever made a King Arthur recipe but all those that there are so many bloggers that love them that I'm gonn have to jump on the KA bandwagon!

This is genuine, authentic Almond Paste, and it's fantastic!! I made Raspberry + Blueberry Ricotta Cheese Cupcakes with it and my husband (he's from Southern Italy) was completely blown away (and homesick)!! Thank you!!!

ALLERGY WARNING!! this product does NOT identify itself as containing soy content (just made in the same facility/traces). Apparently the disclosed "natural flavor" has soy because my allergic husband had a serious reaction after consuming this product (no other processed foods on the same day). I will never by another Love & Bake product again. The vendor has confirmed that there is no soy in the natural flavoring nor in the product itself but the label states that soy is processed in the facility. If you are sensitive to soy, it is recommended that you avoid products that are are processed in the same facility/on shared equipment.

This stuff is great. Much better results than with grocery store almond paste. I also found that the kind from my grocery has wheat starch in it.

Much better than the tubes or tiny cans I used to get. Made my Christmas rainbow cookies and they were more moist and stayed fresher longer. Great taste as well.

This is the only almond paste that I will use for my pignoli cookies and rainbow cookies. It is far and away better than any other almond pastes!

Based on all the reviews, I really want to try this. Can you tell me if it is gluten free? Others I have found have wheat in them. Thanks!
