This oil is good - but beware, anise oil MELTS PLASTIC! Ruined the shield on my Kitchen Aid mixer and the measuring spoon I used for the oil. Ended up throwing a whole batch of cookies out. Found this important information on another cooking website that sells this oil. Says right in the description not to use plastic that it will melt it. Wish King Arthur had put that in their product description - would have saved me a lot of time and money. I did sample one of the cookies and the flavor was very good. But that was before I saw my measuring spoon and plastic shield! Too bad, they did taste good but just couldn't have anyone eat something that might have some type of toxic plastic in it.

Makes perfect biscotti and pizzelles - it is far superior to extract.

We use this in making Italian sausage with fennel seeds. It provides the right intensity and marries well with the pork and other spices.

Makes rolled anise cookies taste amazing. The smell permeates the kitchen beautifully.
