I think it worked fairly well initially: round apples were peeled and cored (for the most part). My complaint is the rusting--some of my metal parts began to rust after a few months. After a year of use, my spring disconnected and it's basically impossible to re-connect (many people have tried). I would agree with the other reviewers--don't buy it. This peeler peels and takes way too much meat unless your apple is perfectly round. I ended up peeling by hand.

Made very well, each process works perfectly. Once the apple is installed you can peel, core and slice in less than ten seconds.

Maybe my apples were too small but there wasn't enough apple peeled to make it worth the while. Even when I tried peeling a larger apple, the blade kept having to be cleaned out and skipping parts of the apple to be peeled. It is not located in a drawer that I hardly ever open :(

My son is attending his 1st year in Culinary School and he already has so many orders for pies , bread & cookies. We bought this because he had 20 apple pies to make for Thanksgiving...we had the best time with this peeler, it made making apple pies a snap !!! I highly recommend this product....you will love it !!!!!!!!!!!

What a lot of work this has saved me. However, the peeling attachment does not work well and the instructions inside were not adequate to fix it.

KAF would do well to stock the Starfrit peeler and corer. It works beautifully on all sizes and types of apples. I'm going to return this one (I never actually used it but bought the other one after many friends recommended it. I also read the reviews here which helped me buy the Starfrit. This is the FIRST product I've ever bought from KAF that I've been disappointed in.

I should have believed the other reviews that were low. This was a waste of money! Don't buy it -- it doesn't work!! I have loved everything else I got from King Arthur -- but this was a huge waste.
