I was rather dissapointed when I saw the box containing this gift basket. I couldn't believe how small it was. So of course I was also dissapointed after opening the box. This does not look like a $50 gift, more like a $30 gift. My m.i.l and I bought this as a wedding present, and now I wish we would've gotten them something else. The bowl is small, everything is crammed in and it almost looks to be about the size of those gift baskets full of soaps and lotion you can fit on the back of your toilet. I love KA's ingredients, but what I got was not what I expected. The picture makes it look much much nicer than in reality!

Received as a gift this Christmas- loved it! I didn't actually try the toppings, though. After reading the comments about the Anise - decided to wait and make crackers to try it on first. Can't wait!

I just received this gift basket for Christmas, and I am delighted. The Alaskan Sourdough was the most successful and painless sourdough I've ever made. The brotform turned out the bread easily and it looked good. I was disappointed with the lame; the one I got was more like an office tool than a cooking tool. I loved this set and would recommend it to anyone who is an enthusiastic but casual bread baker.

I had the same problem as the previous customer. I received an Alaskan sourdough and wanted the advertised organic campagne bread. The customer service person told me that it was no longer in stock so I was out of luck. This is my first order with KAF and not quite what I expected.

I got this for myself thinking I would get the brotform, lame and a few extra items for not much more. The mix that came with is not pain de campagne, but honey sunflower bread. Also, the lame is not the one that KAF sells separately. I was disapointed, so I will return the items and buy them separately.
I am sorry you were disappointed with your basket. It appears as there may have been a mistake made in our warehouse when packing your order or we no longer had the pain de campagne and replaced it with an item that is of equal or more value. As for the lame, we may have just switched to a different manufacturer. Please call our CS at 1-800-827-6836.
