Should this not be described as "Artisinal" rather than as "Artisan"? I do not believe that this product is made out of actual artisans.

I find the anise seeds overpower everything. I am sorry this did not work out for you. Please call customer care and we would be happy to refund you for this topping.

I did not love this topping. It looks great, but the anise seed give it an unpleasant taste. I don?t think that anise complements the flavor of bread. I associate anise with candy and sweet bread or cake (gingerbread). Without the anise it would have been great.

Nice....but I'd prefer it without Anise in it.

As a topping, these seeds bring great additional flavor and character to bread. For very nice results, I sometimes add a few table spoons to the dough when I use multigrain flowers.

Okay---I tried milk and egg mixture, topping stayed on my bread beautifully---made the loaf look so pretty

I love the mix---but what are the best ways to keep them on the loaf---the first batch rolled right off----any other ideas other than 1/2 &1/2 & egg?

I like this mix because it includes seeds that would be hard to find individually, and because of its convenience; just shake out the required amount and there you are, without having to toast your own sesame seeds and so on. I didn't notice a strong flavor of aniseed, but using those seeds, and fennel, in rye breads is something I'm used to.
