Big question, printed the recipe and it makes 10 rolls. Does the pan have space for 10? I want to buy the pan, as I make bread and rbuns all the time, and would like to try this pan.
The pan makes 10 rolls. Matu@ KAF

It keeps saying in the reviews "view the recipe Golden Hotdog Buns" But I don't see this anywhere. Am I missing it? We updated the recipe archive since those suggestions. The new recipe is here: Hot Dog Buns

I love this pan. The rolls are soft and nice. I had this problem with the baking sheet popping and warping, too. My solution is to put a silicon liner or a waxed paper on top of the pan, then a baking sheet and turn the whole thing around and bake it upside down. You can put a weight on top of the pan but it works well without one. Happy baking

I waited all winter for this pan to become available...the build up can't compare to the actual DELIGHT I have with this pan! I used a recipe that I had used before (very similar to the one on this site), with the big difference being that this time, with the N. E. Hotdog Bun Pan, the buns were FANTASTIC! Unbelieveable! WOW! On a lark, I purchased the hamburger bun pan as well. I used the same dough recipe, topped them with dried onions. WOW! My mother is happy, too, because she was spending a lot of money mailing buns to me!

O.K. - I had written in about this pan previously, and asked how to use it. Taking KAF advice, I looked up the "Golden Hot Dog Buns" recipe and proceeded to shape the dough to the pan - and that was fine. My latest problem with the pan came when I tried to put a baking sheet on top of the pan, and place the whole thing into the oven. I weighed the baking sheet down with a Pizza Stone, however, about five minutes after I closed the oven door - I heard a loud bang. My baking sheet somehow twisted itself - even though the heavy Pizza Stone was on top of it - and now did not, could not, cover the Hot Dog Pan! I frantically tried to salvage the whole mess by placing a 12 inch cast iron fry pan ON TOP of the Pizza Stone, ON TOP of the Hot Dog Pan. This worked - for about two minutes - when I heard another loud bang - and found that the baking sheet had somehow twisted itself yet again. So - I am fresh out of ideas here. The Pizza Stone is simply not wide enough to do the job by itself - neither is the cast iron fry pan. My Hot Dog Buns look like - well - I won't say what they look like. My question is this: If they want you to weigh down the top of the pan, so that the bun bottoms are flat, then WHY do they not make a cover for this pan?!? I am thinking something similar to the Pain De Mie Pan. Would anyone happen to have any ideas as to what would work in this particular situation? By the way - I was baking these buns at 350 degrees. I was not using excessive heat. Also - my baking sheets were not purchased through KAF. I actually cannot remember where I got them - probably Wal-Mart, or someplace similar. Thank you! Help?
We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty with the recipe. Please call us if you need assistance getting this set up, we'll be happy to work together with you. Frank @ KAF.

I have to agree with Tara. While I do have a great recipe for Buns - I have no idea as to how to use the Pan! Do we just lay a blob of dough on top of (into) the pan? Do we shape individual Rolls first, and then lay them into the grooves of the pan? I just received this pan a couple of days ago, and promised my family home-made Hot Dog Rolls - yet I have no idea as to how I go about it! If we do have to shape the individual rolls first, and then place them into the Pan - then - it is a total waste of money! Some advice - PLEASE!!! Thanks!

Betsey - Please take a look at the recipe called, New England Hotdog Buns located on our website under recipes. The procedure walks you through using the NE Hotdog pan. Elisabeth @ KAF

I received my New England hot dog bun pan on Monday. I was looking forward to using this pan to bake NE buns as a nice treat for my husband and myself. I was surprised and a little disappointed that there were no recipes or use/care instructions included with the pan. Where can I find out this information?
