I found this thermometer to be inconsistent. Using the pre-marked temperature scale, I made two batches of candy. One came out perfectly, the next much too overcooked. I have gone back to using my old tube-style thermometer that I thought was outdated.

Maybe I just recieved a bad item, but the temperature is significantly off (from 5-15 degrees, depending on how high it goes. The thermometer is well constructed and has a solid clip, but a significant problem with accuracy.

Good thermometer but kinda bulky to stir around for candies. It will definately withstand anything you throw at it though and is great for divinity or candies that do not take a lot of stirring like fudge.

Easy to use, easy to clip on the pan and easy to read. Also, the design makes is more probable that the thermometer will survive wherever it's stored. What more could you ask? I think it's great.
