Care and use of shortbread stoneware pans
- Hand wash prior to first use. Do not use soap or detergent. Not recommended for an automatic dishwasher.
- Seasoning will occur naturally with time and use. You may want to brush lightly with cooking oil for the first few uses. Do not use nonstick spray as it may leave a sticky residue.
- Stoneware is heat-resistant to 450°F (230°C). It may be used in conventional, convection and microwave ovens. Do not use stoneware under direct heat such as under a broiler.
- For the best imprint from your stoneware pan, place the shortbread dough in the center of the pan, working it out towards the edges with your fingers. As the shortbread bakes, use a spatula to pat down any air bubbles that might appear.

This lovely little pan is just perfect for the shortbread recipes that are included (plus a few of my own "finds"). The results are so pretty and the maintenance of the pan is super easy. Love it!

I made the Irish cream Shortbread recipe. The Shortbread came out perfect and beautiful! delicious too. I did need to press down the Shortbread at 18 min. Be careful not to press it down again at any point, I made the mistake once, it was tempting and the design got ruined. follow the directions and you should be quite pleased with the results! I am!

Sure you can cut apart shortbread but why, if you can use this pan and have a design?? It works great - releases the shortbread and cleans up well.

The pan works well - the part I am not thrilled about is the shortbread barely shows the Celtic knot design - i bought it for the design-I will try a fer other recipes to see if I can produce a more decorative shortbread

I'm giving this 4 stars only because it comes with limited instructions. Otherwise it's worth 5 stars. We made four failed batches befoe we finally checked the communtity forum to get some ideas on how to keep the shortbread from sticking to the pan. We finally learned to use baking spray w/flour and it worked great! Loosen the edges as soon as you take it out of the oven and turn it over onto a cutting board. Pick up the cutting board and pan together and lightly tap on the counter. The shortbread will pop right out. Cut the shortbread while it's still warm.

This shortbread pan is a dream! It makes a lovely Celtic design on the cookies and gives you perfect guidelines on where to cut them into wedges. It was quite easy to get the shortbread out of the pan and it just wiped clean. I feel it's worth the price to get one for yourself and/or as a gift.

Great pan. I used the chocolate shortbread recipe from the included booklet (great customer service from KAF--the wrong booklet was originally sent with my order, and when I emailed they sent the correct one right away.) It unmolded easily (I used the everbake spray) and held the impression well. Love the pattern.
