Do it the easy way
Don’t take chances with a heavy, sharp chef’s knife and a hard block of chocolate. "Chipper" is the SAFE way to cut chocolate.
- Heavy, steel-plated prongs break pieces off a chocolate bar safely and easily.
- Hardwood handle.
- It’s great for ice, too.

I love this chocolate chipper! Heavy duty and much safer than using a knife, you can chop a chocolate bar in no time.

When I saw this in the catalog I thought it would be a good alternative to using a chef's knife to break up my chocolate bricks. Unfortunately this tool is not sturdy enough to get the job done.
I'm sorry to hear that this item did not meet your expectations. Please give our customer service team a call at 1-800-827-6836. We can help!

I recently purchased this chipper and the handle had a large crack in it. I called KAF and they immediately replaced it with another. Yaaa KAF! Unfortunately, the second chipper was also cracked, but somewhat better. My husband replaced the handle on it, since the chipper was put into the handle crooked, causing the crack in the first place. I love the product, but the quality of it has some issues. Maybe a new vendor USA made would be nice!

I recommend this chocolate chipper with reservations. I had to use a hammer on the end of the chipper to push it through the thick bar of chocolate. It's OK, but I'm not thrilled.

I have to agree with Pam. I had so much trouble getting it to chop a merckens 2 lb bar that i was tempted to throw it away. I tried it again with similar results. Maybe there is a trick to using it, I don't know, but this is one of those rare KAF items that I found absolutely useless. I'll stick with my serrated bread knife. It was too bad, too, I didn't use it soon enough to return it.
I am sorry this item is not performing as well as you had hoped. It is something you have to "work" through the chocolate just as you would a serrated knife. Rocking the chopper back and forth a little can help. I am sure we can issue a full credit if not a partial credit for this item. Please call 1-800-827-6836. Elisabeth

The chipper worked just great in chipping the chocale block to the size I needed for making some cookies.

LOVE THIS!!! Just finished making massive amounts of chocolate for the holidays. This tool was wonderful! Very efficient for breaking chocolate from the 10 lb. bricks I use. Many thanks!

I have been looking for something like this for a while. Kitchen knives don't "cut it" when it comes to my big Callebaut chunks. This tool, is great, but use it on a cutting board so as not to damage a surface. I also use it to separate frozen engllish muffins that have been precut, but are still stuck. Again, use a cutting board and be careful. But it does a nice job there, too.

If you are apprehensive about chopping chocolate with a knife, you will probably appreciate this tool. But it's a bit cumbersome and not very effective for me. I much prefer to use a nice sharp chef's knife for my chocolate chopping. For thin bars, it works decently, but for the thicker bars like the Callebaut, don't bother. Sorry KAF...this is the first thing I've ever bought from you that I didn't love.
