I recommend with reservations. That caramel coating is dynamite! But I found the bread should have been much lighter to balance out all the butter in the coating. I am sitting here feeling like a toad after eating the finished product. Also, and I see others commented they didn't like the texture so it might be this same thing, I found the cook time to be pretty far off. I left it for the maximum time and had removed from the oven; the outside looked done. A piece had actually fallen off the side (the ring pan you sell as great for monkeybread is too small! but I digress) Being anxious to try the end result, I ate the piece that was on the cookie sheet...I anticipated a mess...and found the dough to be way underdone. So I whipped out my handy instant read thermometer and sure enough it wasn't even close to done. It took mine about 15-20 min longer than the package instructions. Maybe its just oven variability or maybe because I had to put my pan on a cookie sheet because it was overflowing before it even went in the oven. I had done the overnight instructions but the bread was out the full 1.5hrs before it went into the oven so I don't think it was too cold. If I buy this again, I will maybe make it just as a ring on a cookie sheet so I get lots of crusty outside pieces and no gummy insides. As I said, loved the coating, esp with pecans!
Liz - I am sorry this mix did not perform as expected. Other customers are experiencing the same problem (s). Stay tuned as perhaps we need to retest this recipe using the same pan. We would be very happy to send you a replacement mix. My suggestion, to you is to add more liquid to your dough to help lighten the texture. 1-2 T. is probably suitable. Please call us, 1-800-827-6836, for a replacement. Elisabeth @ KAF

Sorry, but this did not turn out. I made it according to instructions. After sitting few a little while the carmel coating was very hard. Half of the bread was wasted because of the carmel coating. If I purchase it again, I will leave off the carmel coating

My husband liked it so much he took it on his ski trip. It did overflow the (bundt) pan and leave me with a sticky oven clean-up.

I used the overnight instructions for a warm bread in the morning. It tasted terrible and the texture was terrible. It was a total waste of money.
Nancy, we are so sorry to hear the mix did not work out for you. Please contact customercare@kingarthurflour.com, and we will be happy to assist you. MJR @ KAF
