I love these Flav-R Bites in scones! I have tried the Cinnamon Chips as well, they do melt and are obviously softer and definitely better for cookies, but for scones, the Flav-R Bites are the best! I add them to the KAF Scone recipe and they are wonderful - better than the Cinnamon Scones in coffee shops!

I have tried both the bits and the chips. I definetely like the flavor of the bits as compared to the chips. When making my scones I put the bits in the buttermilk to soak while I am cutting the butter into my flour. When the baking process burts the bits, some stay a liitle crunchy and m family likes that. I make up several scone batches, freeze them, and bake when needed. I can always expect the same fresh flavor. PLEASE keep selling these bits! The chips are okay for cookies, but the flavor is not right for a scone.

Having baked with both these and the Cinnamon Chips, I have to recommend the chips over these. In fact, I'm not even sure why they both exist! While very similar in taste, the Cinnamon Chips are perfect in both taste and texture, whereas the Flav-R-Bites sometimes remain hard if they bake on the "edge" of a loaf of bread or a scone. If you're wondering which to go with-- it's definitely the Cinnamon Chips!

I added these to a favorite soft sugar cookie recipe, but was very disappointed that they didn't seem to soften at all. They were tooth-joltingly hard when you bit into the cookie, so I put the cookies in a jar for a day, hoping they would soften, but they didn't. Though the cookies were as soft as ever, the nuggets stayed hard. Rather than risk a dental emergency, I had to toss the whole abtch pf cookies out. I'm looking for a better way to use the rest of the package - maybe a coffee cake??

These are fantastic! I used them to make scones and I loved that they didn't melt and disperse. They remained delicious little bites of cinnamon, and even kept a nice, faint crunch -- like what you get from using sparkling sugar on top. These were a terrific find!

We use these cinnamon chips in scones and muffins. We just mix them into the batter like we would do for chocolate chips. They dissolve when the scones or muffins bake and leave little pockets of sweet cinnamon flavor. They are a huge hit!

I use these in scones as well. For a 2 cup flour recipe, I use 3/4 cup of flav-r-bites, just covered with milk, and let stand 20 minutes before mixing into the dough. They come out soft and yummy.

I was disappointed in these. very small. Looks like pellets you would feed a rabbit. I made my scones with these, THEY DID NOT SOFTEN when baked as advertised, I have a ton of scones that I am afraid to sell at my cafe because the chips are so hard. not to mention that they do not have much taste the other cinnamon chips are better, not great, sorry I tried these
Sorry to hear you did not care for these. Please phone customer service, and we will be happy to assist you. MJR @ KAF

I used 1/4 of a cup in my scone recipe and still had several nuggets that didn't disperse into the dough. It actually caught my tooth and hurt! It's too bad because they impart a nice flavor.

While the flavor was decent, I found that these had the consistency of Grapenuts cereal even after baking in a batch of scones. A little tough on the teeth. I guess I expected them to be like one would find in a Starbucks cinnamon scone.
