Use each as you would fresh rind to flavor muffins, breads, pastries and pies; we figure 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon is the approximate equivalent of 1 tablespoon grated rind. Wonderful product to have on hand. I was making my famous lemon cupcakes for a party and my lemon tree was at the end of it's season. I was therefore short by 1 lemon. So I added some of the Lemon Oil to both the cake part and icing - WOW! It delivered the natural flavor I love. Nothing artificial about this.

I bought this for myself because I loved the idea of being able to make recipes requiring zest when I had no fresh fruit on hand. A little does go a long way. I used too much in a lemon cake as I put it in the frosting as well. It was good but would add less next time. I bought another one for my mom for mother's day. I would recommend using a dropper with this product.

KA has enticed my daughter into baking Biscotti. One of her favorites with tea; she finally tired of buying Biscotti, used your recipes & is making a wonderfully, flavorful treat. She has used all 3 of the flavors & is looking at the large bottles for the next round of baking. The Biscotti could not be fresher & even a grumpy neighbor agrees that the flavor is so natural. Thanks for the inspiration for my daughter. We should all buy stock in KA as our flour usage has doubled!!

These are excellent flavorings for baking. They can also be used to substitute zest in any recipe with good results or to give added zest a bit of a kick. A must have to have on hand.

I used the lime oil in springerle cookies. It was easy to use and the taste was superb!

Wonderful stuff. In addition to using it in cakes, cookies and frostings, I've also found that I can add it to pancake and waffle batter to make orange of lemon flavored pancakes (great with blueberries). Good in stir-frys and mexican dishes too. I never seemed to have a lemon, lime or orange on hand when I needed some zest and this set solved that problem.

I don't know how long these oils have been made but I've been using the orange and lemon oils for over 20 years! I often do not have citrus fruits in the house so when a recipe calls for "1 teaspoon of grated orange peel" I always have this oil avaiable in the frig! And what's so nice about them is that they flavour the ENTIRE dough, not just the bits & pieces that orange rind provides. Very inexpensive in the long run; they last forever if kept cold in the frig.

It's very convenient to have thse on hand. I substitute in baking for lemon juice, zest.
