This should be a 'Mini' doughnut cutter. 2.5 inches is not big enough for a normal sized doughnut. It's just way too small.

This item was much smaller than I thought it would be. It workers great the insert comes out so you can cut cookies or biscuits. I just thought the size was to small for me.
