I haven't had a problem using this on cookies but I mostly use it to remove pizzas and baked goods from the oven. The downside is the size makes it more difficult to store; mine won't fit in a drawer and is "top heavy" so it tends to fall out of the crock unless I really wedge it in.

The shovel is too thick to use on cookies. It breaks the cookies. It works well on biscuits, but I would not have bought it just to use on biscuits.
