I have tries mixes before, but have never been very happy with the results. I usually make my own scones from scratch and my family begs me to make them. I tried the Cream Tea Scone Mix this weekend for the first time (using the butter and milk option rather than cream and adding chocolate chips) and we loved them! I think my husband and daughter may prefer these to my from scratch recipe. Wonderful texture and flavor.

Fragrant, tender, and perfect with cream and jam. Baked up beautifully. It's not detectably sweet so it works wonderfully with just a spread of jam and preserve.

I enjoy using this scone mix. I have been known to find a good bakery for a fresh scone. At home I rarely use mixes or take baking/cooking short cuts. I recieved this mix as a KA bonus in an order. I liked this scone mix so much I ordered 5 more packages. My favorite is mixing frozen blackberries and blueberries from last summer into the mix. Whenever I enjoy a scone I remember the warm sunny days picking them for my freezer. Yum!

great as is with butter. But want something different? Add 3 tablespoons of cinnamon for great cinnamon scones!

I made these for a birthday breakfast at work with five star reviews! I replaced the liquid in the recipe with "store bought eggnog " from the supermarket dairy counter. Also added 1/2 cup dried cranberries. I frosted with a drizzle of confectioners sugar and eggnog. Then sprinkled with finely chopped nuts. Yummy!

This is a great mix. I usually do not use mixes but my kids ask for scones all the time, and this one is so easy to use and tastes great. It is worth every penny.

Yummy! My favorite treat for weekend guests. I could make these from scratch, but the mix is every bit as wonderful and takes very little time.

I never thought that I would use a mix. Then when I received a free sample with my order I gave it a try. I am a mix convert! Since then I have tried several and they all have been wonderful-better than expected. The Cream Tea Scone mix is one of my favorites. I like to add a cup of well-drained plumped raisins to the dough. It reminds me of a bakery favorite, raisin tea biscuits-only better. They are absolutey delicious. Thank you, King Arthur Flour!
