This has been a great cutter for us! We've had it several months & it's still going strong with frequent use. It's so easy to use we have apples & pears even more often than before!

I loved this for the first month or so and then the cutting blade popped out of the center. I now have to put it back in each time and it's not easy to do. I've stopped using it and gone back to my old cutter. Might try the new larger stainless steel cutter I see is available. Disappointing; not worth the price.
I'm so sorry to hear that the slicer broke during use. Please phone customer service and we'll be happy to issue a credit for you. MJR @ KAF

I love this! Making apple galettes is much faster for me with this handy device.

A great slicer - very sharp (so sharp you need to be careful, but that's what makes it worthwhile). Would have given it 5 stars, but I had some trouble switching between the two choices of thickness. But I'd definitely recommend it.

I use this every day. Makes perfect slices and is easy to use.

Great for getting relatively thin slices easily. Seems as though it could break if you were to treat it roughly - so I don't.

I think we finally figured out how to make this thing work. You usually can't get the apple to balance right on the plastic tray it comes with. So you put it on a cutting board, stem side up, and press the cutter into it a few millimeters just to get it started. Then you have to do a quick, hard push to get it to cut through. Lastly, put the mostly-cut apple on the provided tray to complete the cut.

Great for cutting up slices for snacks.

I had to have this as soon as I saw it in the catalog. I use it to make all kinds of things. My favorite is to use the eight slice option to slice an apple up for my kids when they need a snack. So quick. I use the 16 slice option when making an apple puff pancake. Once again it is so fast! Clean up is easy if you rinse it off as soon as you use it. Don't let the apple pieces dry onto it. It is very sharp so keep it out of the reach of children. Don't forget to use the plastic guard to "pop" the apple slices the rest of the way out. That way you don't need any bandaids...
