Beautiful lattice-top fruit pies

You—yes, YOU—can create beautiful lattice-top fruit pies with this lattice-crust cutter.

  • Simply flour the cutter, roll out pie dough, gently lay the dough atop the cutter, then roll over the dough with your rolling pin. Peel the dough off the cutter to reveal a lovely decorated crust, ready to slip atop your filled pie shell.
  • Double-sided cutter makes two designs: an intricate star-motif lattice pattern, or a lovely outer border of hearts.
  • 12” round cutter; design is about 8” diameter, perfect for 9” pies or larger.
  • Dishwasher-safe.
  • Made in the U.S.A.

I bought the apple/fall leaf double sided pie topper. I am an experienced pie maker and I loved the way the topper made the top crust perfectly round which makes the overall crimping much prettier in the finished product. However, I wasn't too thrilled with the size of the cut-outs; I found them too large and when the pies are cooked the design gets obliterated by running juices. I'd give this product five stars if the design had smaller and less cut-outs.

This item is so easy to use and creates pies that look wonderful. I used the apples. Have not used the second side yet.

I was very doubtful that this would work but I had a gift cert. and other buyers gave good ratings. Its great! I floured lightly before pressing into the dough and although some cutouts stuck they were easy to retrieve with a knife. I would have preferred the leaf template that used to be offered but didn't see it this time. Easy to store with cookie sheets or platters.

I loved this item! It worked perfectly the first time. This was the first time I ever made a pie and I was very nervous, but this made it so easy and it turned out beautifully!

This is such an easy topper to use. It makes my pies look gorgeous. It is easy to clean. The double sides make this a great value.

Easy to use. Made the pie really pretty. The berry juices leaked a bid so the design wasn't as clear. Will try again on apple pie.

I'm known for my delicious pies and in the past have hand cut designs in the tops. This is much easier and prettier. Second one I've purchased

I love this cutter. My husband likes lattice crusts, but I don't enjoy cutting strips and laying them out or weaving them. I've made four pies in the time since I received this cutter and I suspect I will use it for all of them in the future. Since I don't make my own crusts I don't choose to dirty a rolling pin, so what I do is lay the crust on top of the pattern I want and press down onto the design with my fingers, being sure the red shows through all the way around each bit so that I don't end up with "hanging chads." Centering the design, both on the cutter and then on the pie, can be a bit challenging, but having it a bit askew just means it's homemade and the pie will therefore taste better! Sometimes the juices ooze over and mess up the design a bit, mostly the hearts, but I've bought bakery pies that looked worse than the worst I've managed to do.
