This dried buttermilk is very easy to use and adds moisture and great flavor to whatever it is added to. Try it with the recipe for Black forest cake if you are afraid it will add tang. You will be happy you did and wont hesitate to add it to all your cake recipes that rely on moistness and flavor!

This is a wonderful product. It was frustrating for me to have all of the other ingredients I'd need to make bread, and have to run out for buttermilk. Thank you, KAF! It's a very good product, and I'd recommend it to anyone!

I used this in my chocolate recipes. Since buttermilk has a short shelf life this is so much better to have on hand.

It is so nice to add that special zip with buttermilk to a recipe without having to make a trip to the grocery store. The convenience is an A+.

Add it to oat pancake mix to make them 'buttermilk' and use in breads to increase protein plus flavor.

Somebody had a problem with it turning into a brick.
My experience with things like buttermilk powders,
tomato powder and brown sugars is that the brickifying
doesn't change the taste.
I hammer, chisel or break off lumps until I have about
the right amount, and grind (with flour if necessary) or
dissolve in the liquid ingredients
The tomato powder brick I have in a glass jar is about
five years old, and still tastes just the same as canned
tomato paste.
I'm required to rate this product, even though I can't tell
whether it is cultured buttermilk powder or buttermilk
powder, so a 3.
This is plain buttermilk powder. It is not cultured. If we may be of further assistance, please give us a call on the Baker's Holtine. ~Mel

Although I selected not to recommend this item, actually, the jury's still out. I used it in my key lime layer cake and it just did not give me the same results as using real buttermilk. My cake was drier, and the consistency was more bread-like than when I use the real thing! Will try once more to make a final decision on this product.

Great stuff! It's easy to use, and gives a nice flavor to bread. It's one of the things I always order.
