It was quite a splurge to order this with shipping costs to Canada - but worth every penny. Pizza perfection. Breads, beautiful! Just used it to make rhubarb pie - that always gets a soggy bottom - perfect crisp flaky pie bottom. Yum yum yum!

Although I haven't bake pizza on it yet I have used it to reheat pizza several times. It works so well. The best thing about it is the nonstick surface wipes clean so the next time that awful smell of burning cornmeal or cheese doesn't happen like on my old unglazed stone.

I was disappointed that the baking stone was too tall for the bottom rack of my dishwasher, as it consumes almost all of the top rack. I have used it, with success, in the oven, for bread and pizza. I've had 2 pizza stones crack on my grill, so I am a little hesitant to try it out there (my grill doesn't have a thermostat, so I'm still working out how to control the temp).

This was the BEST investment ever!! My husband and I LOVE pizza, but lead an extremely healthy lifestyle...after much research, we bought this and KAF Italian "00" flour...We will NEVER eat "take-out" pizza again! The pizza crust is crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside; PERFECTION!! You put this stone in the oven on the lowest rack BEFORE turning on the heat (to prevent shock). I use a sheet of parchment to stretch out my crust, top it and then put the pizza - parchment and all - on the stone when the oven reaches temp. 7 minutes later, we are in heaven!! You pull the stone out, let your pizza "set" for 5 minutes, and cut right on the stone! It doesn't chip or crack! The stone stays hot for a LONG time, so do be careful. This is too large for my dishwasher, but cleans effortlessly! Highly recommend!!

I have been making pizza for years and never found a stone that I loved. This stone is amazing and it does not smoke. I bake my pizza's at 550 degrees! Excellent product.

This is a great piece. I use it to heat and serve hors d'oeurves and breads (I cut the bread right on the stone). When it's warmer, I'm going to try it outside on the grill. I also own two of the round pizza stones, and they are wonderful; after a good preheat in a very hot oven, the pizza crust comes out very crisp and delicious. Just be careful to place the stone on a wooden or cloth surface so it doesn't break from thermal shock when you remove it from the hot oven. I own several pieces from the Emile Henry Flame line, and all are superb for cooking as well as esthetically pleasing. I highly recommend this product.

As with all Emile Henry products, this stone is an elegant piece of design, craftsmanship and functionality. I use it as a serving tray for cheese and crackers, to cook pizza and to keep it hot once it is out of the oven, to bake bread, and by leaving it on the bottom rack of the oven to maintain even oven heat when I am baking other items. I also have the round Emile Henry stone that I use similarly. When not in use you can either leave it in the oven or use it as a great color accent piece in your kitchen. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

I bought 2 of these because I usually make 2 to 3 home made pizzas at a time. First time using this pizza stone tonight and I loved it. For one of the stones I cut the pizza right on it and for the other pizza I transfered it to some card board for storage in the fridge. The Pizza stone that was used and not cut didnt' need much cleaning. The pizza slid right off easily and didn't leave a mess for me to clean up.
