You won’t believe how often you use this scale.
One postage stamp, or two? Weigh your letter. 4-ounce serving of meat? Weigh it out. And when you’re baking, you just can’t beat the ease and accuracy of a scale, compared to volume measurements. Features include the following:
- Add-and-weigh (tare) lets you add ingredients in sequence.
- Automatic shutoff (a nice, long 4 minutes).
- Weighs up to 11 pounds (5kg) in decimal increments (.1, .2) rather than fractions (1/8, 1/4).
- Weighs in .1-ounce/1g increments.
- 5-year limited warranty.

This is my second kitchen scale; my firt was an old one bought at a yard sale at it was awful. I LOVE this new scale. I use it for baking, for weighing and portioning meat, pasta, vegs, etc. The tare feature makes it so simple to measure for baking ......... I am so glad I purchased this; I use it nearly every day.

Though this scale is the least expensive of the scales offered, I can't imagine a better buy. I was skeptical of weighing ingredients but it makes all the differance in the world and I appreciate KAF including weights in their recipes. After some disappointing results and reading my KAF cookbook on the "whys" of weight versus cup measuring, I'm a convert. It is so simple and no messy measuring cups and flour all over your counter. You can simply spoon your flour directly into your mixing bowl, reset the scale and measure out more. I even weigh the honey and orange juice. it's one of the best purchases you will ever make! Don't let the price fool you. This is a great item, even if it is the less expensive scale offered!

I can't believe how much and in how many ways I've used this scale. My husband bought it for me two years ago, and it has worked hard. I've weighed meat as I divide up "family packs" to freeze, used it for portion control, weighing ingredients when ounces or grams, rather than cups, were called for, carted it to an a school for weeks where students used it to weigh balsa-wood projects, and my husband even tried to weigh the baby with it! This scale has worked hard and is still like new. It's a great product, and I don't know what I did before I had it.
