I purchased two of these containers to store wet dough in the refrigerator for up to three weeks for making a variety of breads, at my leisure. The lids are not to be secured tightly, but they fit on top perfectly which helps to protect the dough from drying out, a very important factor. As usual, a high quality product from KAF. Thank you!

I have only used my container once to make the sourdough pretzels, so the dough was kind of lost in this huge container. I think the next time I make my yeast rolls, it will be perfect, however! I like the idea of being able to tell when the dough has doubled. I do wish there were smaller ones to store my various flours in, however.

I had given up baking because of the mess/storage. These containers are awesome! Solid quality, tight closing lids but allows me and my 5 year old to measure flour without the mess we used to make. Great product, highly recommend!!

This is an attractive sturdy worthwhile storage bin. the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the lid is really stiff and not easy to remove. I like the Tupperware better, but this is nicer looking. If you have any dexterity issues (I don't) , go with something with a softer lid.

Bought this initially in the set with the 12 quart (blue-rimmed lid). Love both but this is the size I use more often, so often that I bought another, and then another. I am not sure if it is airtight or not, but I do pantry items in it to keep them dry and deter household pests (and pets!). Great dough doubler, as some have mentioned. Very sturdy and durable plastic. The lid snaps on without too much fuss, which is nice and sometimes hard to come by in such containers, even after a trip through the dishwasher. I now have six of these and they're all in use most of the time. Great product.

These containers are perfect for storing flour - the square shape and stackability are perfect for maximum storage with minimum footprint. I love my two 6 quart containers so much, I'm taking inventory and planning on buying these containers in all sizes for our pantry!

My sister sent me an artisan bread cookbook for a gift and I searched locally for a container to store the no-knead dough in the refrigerator. No success with that!
