I got this mix free with an order. It was fantastic. I usually make scones from scratch, so I wasn't sure if I would like these. They turned out great. My husband loved them also. Very easy to make with a nice texture. They had just the right amount of sweetness. I will buy these again.

We were curious to try the French Toast Scone Mix as pancakes. I debated mixing it with some plain pancake batter thinking that it might be too sweet, but I resisted; wanting to see what it actually tasted like and how it cooked up on its own. GREAT! It made plenty for our family of 4, three of which are male and hearty eaters. Not too sweet, either. We can't wait to try more!

I got the mix as a bonus in my order. By day 3 of a long weekend with 4 grandchildren under 7 and their parents in a one bedroom house, I wanted something quick, easy, but still special. These scones definitely were. My parents said when the gang visited them after breakfast, all the kids could talk about was the scones. Even the 1 year old scarfed a whole one down and glared at her parents when they ate theirs! The only down side is that these will be EXPECTED on future visits.

Wow. That's really all I have to say. I just made this an hour ago and they are heavenly. Easy to make, and perfectly delicious! I was worried that my mix was too sticky (rather than "just moistened" as the directions said), but they came out wonderfully!

I'm not a big fan of mixes in general. I prefer starting from scratch and making my own modifications. I got this free, though, so I gave it a try. The flavor was excellent, but the texture was off. They came out more like a cake or muffin consistency. I prefer my scones more biscuit-like. The dough was also a lot wetter than I'm used to seeing for scones, which probably explains the consistency of the finished product. It made handling the scones and shaping/separating them more difficult than need be. (I'm sure if you own a scone pan, that won't be a concern. I'm more of a free-form girl, though.) So, if you want something that tastes great and is more of a "drop-muffin", these might be for you. If you prefer a firmer scone, you'll be disappointed.

The flavor of these was fantastic! I don't typically use mixes but this came free with purchase. I made these this morning- yes the dough was sticky but scone and biscuit dough tends to be. A bench knife solved the portability issue.

We received this mix as a free gift with our order. I knew from the moment the bag was opened that the scones would be a real treat--the wonderful fragrance was good enough to eat all by itself! I did have a bit of trouble shaping and cutting the dough, but a little water on hands and bench knife solved that problem. The result? Tender, perfectly crusty scones that disappeared long before the 5 minute rest period was up! Excellent mix, we'll be buying this one for ourselves and to give out at Christmas, it's that good!

I received this the last time it was "free with $60 purchase" and really hesitated to try it as I was afraid it's flavor would be too "over the top". I can't explain how happy I was to see it offered free again as it is hands-down my new favorite! Truly tasted of all the flavors our homemade French toast has and simply delicious. Not too sweet or too flavored, but perfect. I use my largest (1/4 C??) muffin scoop and make mini drop scones, cooking a few minutes less to keep me from eating them all by myself!

I followed the directions exactly, but did not end up with dough the could be cut and then moved. Regardless, I baked them anyway and my family loved loved loved them. They were gone in minutes. Not sure what I did, but they were really good.
Sounds like the taste was there, but the dough - now scones - was too slack to move. I see the box instructions call for 1/2 cup milk for soft dough scones and 2/3 cup for drop scones. First solution? Check that liquid measurement. Second solution? Call our baker's hotline (800-827-6836)to problem solve! Irene at KAF
