Gourmet Drinking Chocolate is a delightful return to the way hot chocolate was originally made: pure bittersweet chocolate chunks, simply heated in milk to make a rich, deep-dark chocolate brew. This is hot chocolate at its very finest.
- Coarsely ground bittersweet (65% cacao) chocolate chunks come from America’s premier chocolate maker, Guittard.
- Simply stir 3 tablespoons chocolate chunks into 3/4 cup of hot milk. Reheat briefly (don’t let it boil) until chocolate is melted and smooth. Whisk until frothy, and serve.
- Whole or 2% milk will make a smoother, richer-tasting drink.
- For an over-the-top treat, substitute a tablespoon or two of half and half or cream for an equal amount of the milk.
- Serving suggetion: garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or marshmallow.
- Makes 14 servings.

I bought this before Christmas to give in a gift basket. I also bought some for myself. The recipients loved it as did I. Using the recommended amount was too overpowering for me, so I cut it in half. This is a wonderful bedtime treat!

Very disappointed - I would have to say that it was the worst tasting hot chocolate I have every had.

This chocolate is fantastic, per some of the other reviews does not melt so easy but well worth the trouble.

Absolutely delicious! This IS how hot cocoa should be. However, the chocolate is 1/2 inch chunks, not ground as described.
