i added a cup of flaked coconut...came out great BUT very expensive considering I am adding honey, eggs,, milk.

I made this cake in the beehive cake pan, and it was delicious! It came out perfectly, though I overcooked it a tad. I used the recipe for the buttercream and glaze that came with the pan. It was perfect for a big gathering we had at my house at the end of the summer, and I bought two more boxes to make again. A big hit!

This was a huge hit with a crowd of family and friends. I don't even care for honey, but this had just the right amount. The crumb was perfect, too - like an old-fashioned pound cake rather than a modern layer cake.

This is a magnificent cake. I made it to celebrate the Spring Equinox, and everyone was abuzz about it. Even people who dislike honey liked this cake. I think it has a distinctively floral overtone as well, a perfect spring or summer cake.
