I love the Apple Crisp and wish it was always available. I've made it with blueberries, pears and of course, apples. It's quite easy to put together and it is my family's favorite dessert

Folks, something's missing.......the instructions for the filling don't call for any liquid to be added - no juice or water. Just to throw the dry spices on the sliced fruit.
As a result I have a dish of spiced, dried apples with a crisp topping.
If you are using juicy apples you will not need to add additional liquid. If you know your apples are dry you may add 1/4 cup of orange juice. Joan@bakershotline
