I love my butter keepers. We have 2 of them, 1 for my husband and 1 for me, since I have to be gluten free and cannot be subjected to bread crumbs from wheat. If the butter is soft, put it into the butter keeper, then for a short time, put it into the refrigerator, then it won't fall out. It stays spreadable. We are snowbirds so we have 2 in the SW and 2 in Upper MI. Use a knife to spread the butter. It works well!

I'm sure this butter keeper works great...for other families. We can't seem to plan ahead enough to take a stick of butter out of the fridge so it has time to soften before trying to stuff it into the keeper. And we can't figure out how to hold the butter, a piece of toast, and the knife to butter with. My husband tried a new balancing act and managed to chip a piece out of the lid. There must be a technique we weren't able to figure out. Having said all that, I loved the idea.

My husband loves real butter on his morning toast, but hated how it tore it up. Now he just spreads and is happy.

Fabulous! My husband thinks this is the best thing ever. Wants to get another one for his friend. No more zapping (melting) butter to soften it.

I love this butter keeper! Although, I must admit that there was a slight 'learning curve' in its use. Make sure you really 'smoosh' the butter into the well so that there are no air holes at the bottom, or the butter will fall out when you lift the cover. Other than that, there's nothing not to like! It's small so that it doesn't take up much counter or table space, the classic King Arthur logo is really cute, and it's fantastic to have spreadable butter whenever I want it! I'm very glad I tried it and I like it better than using a butter dish!

I recently bought one of these little jewels and am really impressed with how well it works. My first one arrived with a broken top, and I called customer service about a return. A very nice women told me to just throw it out. They sent me another much better packed one immediately.
