I've owned mine for many years and this purchase was a house-warming gift. This book is the BEST BAKING book ever, and I just wanted to pass it on to a young new homeowner. I'm sure she'll learn to rely on her KA Book as much as an old lady like me!

A great cookbook. Many recipes and information. Wish I had had this before I took my artisan bread course.

Love this book. The receipes are easy to follow and everything I have made from this book my family has loved, from the dinner rolls to the bisqcuits. I have been baking weekly since I received my book.

I have had this cookbook for several years. I later purchased the other three cookbooks, but this one is the "go to" book. Anytime I have wanted to make anything, it's in here. From chocolate cake for a kid's party where one of them is allergic to eggs, to Scottish oat cakes after I tasted some from the store (I just made another batch last night!). Plus, if you want to really understand the baking process the educational information throughout this book about the ingredients and processes will really teach you what you need to know. It's also a lot of fun to read the historical references and stories about the different types of baked goods and recipes. So this book is both enjoyable and essential.

This is one of those cookbooks that you read just for the content, besides looking for recipes. The vintage recipes fascinate me as well as the information I get about cooking history and ingredients.

I have only had this cookbook a few weeks and already it looks like I take it with me everywhere-along with splatters and spills. I love it, and I highyly recommend it.
