I made my first two loaves this week and we really loved the flavor. I was taking the bread out of the oven and some friends came by so I had to cut & butter the warm bread and they loved it too. She wanted to know what I used so I gave her my catalog and she is going to order the sourdough flavor.

If you are kazy like me this is the way to go. I had to several different amounts until I got where the family liked it. I use it for both brown & white bread

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to click my heels together and say some prayer, or do some kind of dance, or what. But I've used this stuff twice now and it has had NO effect on the flavor of what I'm baking. So I really can't say I'm especially impressed with it.

I first tried this with bread that I used a sour dough starter in. I only used 1 teaspoon as I just wanted to add some sourness. I tasted no difference. I then tried with bread using only KA instant yeast. I used as suggested plus extra tablespoon for extra sour taste. NO SOUR TASTE. I'm very disappointed.

I think this is good. It's not for every recipe, but it has it's place. I made an Italian type loaf and added this...my family loved it, but my husband didn't; He thought it tasted artificial. I didn't add as much as the package said to. Next time I will add even less. I did have to add a bit more water as this seemed to dry the dough out. Good product.

I am able to have a full sourdough taste or just a touch by adjusting the amount I add to a bread. Very nice!

I was very skeptical of "instant" sourdough but ordered it anyway. It was sooooo good. The flavor was strong and it is very convenient to whip up a loaf of sourdough any time I want to without having to baby a starter!

Again I feel the cost of the product does not warrant the use, as the flavor was not enhanced enough to warrant the use.

My husband really loves his artisan breads, and we live in a county that just teems with incredible bread bakers. BUT, he loves home-baked bread as well. This product delivers the taste without the maintenance. I highly recommend.
