I have been using King Arthur flour and other ingredients for many years and have had great success with them.
One question I want to ask is what kind of flour or flours are in the All Purpose e.g. hard red winter, hard white winter etc.. I would appreciate hearing what approximately to further my understanding and improvemant of my bread making.

It's fantastic, but my grocery store only sells it in the 2 lb bags, which makes it quite pricey. Half the time I end up using regular KA AP Flour to balance out the cost. If this was available in 10 or 25 lb bags, I'd be sold. (hint,hint)

It's unfortunate -- my local store doesn't stock this flour in any but the tiniest bags -- but I can mail-order the Bob's Red Mill Organic AP flour (which by the specs is almost identical) for $5.89 for 5 pounds. I hate to do it, but a $2 premium for my favorite brand is just too much.
Thor - We understand your needs. Bob's Red Mill has great products. We refer customers to them all the time for some hard to find grains, etc. Try asking your grocer to provide the larger 5# bags. That may work! Elisabeth @ KAF

A great all purpose flour that I use for all my baking (except pie crusts when I use the pastry flour), especially cookies and coffee cakes. Although I'm not a fanatic about organic products, I do use them when easy to substitute and enjoy the peace of mind of no pesticide residues.
