I always use King Arthur whole wheat flour and have been disappointed on the occasions when I've had to buy and use another brand of flour. This flour is the reason why I first came to the KAF website and started buying other KAF products. The recipe on the back of the bag is the template I've used in developing a recipe for wheat bread that my wife and I love. I make one loaf every week, in addition to other things I bake, and we never get tired of it.

I tried using a different brand of whole wheat flour and ended up with hard, nearly inedible bread. This flour makes excellent, good-tasting whole grain bread. There is no need to add bread flour or other additives.

I started making hand-rolled fresh bread last year and started with this brand, then went to Gold Medal's for the cheaper price but the taste is significantly different. Highly recommended!!

I tried a different brand that required gluten, yeast and white flour just to make a loaf. This flour add yeast, salt, and a little sugar free syrup and I had the most amazing bread ever. I'm a lifer.
