I had my doubts that a special flour made for pastry would really make that much difference. I ordered a bag and yesterday, made a fresh blueberry pie using the Pastry Flour to make the pie crust. Fabulous! The crust turned out super flakey with a tender melt-in-your-mouth texture and a cripiness that made this pie the best I have ever made. My husband raved about the pie and the pie crust was the magic. I am sold! The pie dough was really much easier to handle - it usually falls apart when I am trying to get it in the pie pan. It stayed in one piece and I didn't have to "patch" any holes. This flour is outstanding and I highly recommend it for any type of pastries. I now wish I had purchased a couple of bags but will do so soon. This flour is AMAZING!

This is our go-to flour for muffins. We bought a low-fat baking book in the 90s and many of those recipes use whole wheat pastry flour. King Arthur has always come through for all our baking needs.

I love this flour and try to always have some in the fridge. I use it to replace half or more of the all-purpose flour in pastries and quick breads. It add nutty, whole-grain goodness without the gritty texture of regular whole wheat flour.

I love this flour. I've used whole wheat pastry flour for a number of years, but the KAF is far superior to the other brands. There's always a supply of this stuff in my freezer!

This is an excellent product...and I was surprised at the lightness even though its a wheat product. I have used this pastry flour in 'healthy' breads like zuccinni and morning glory breads, and they have turned out light and delicious. A nice choice when trying to add some additional healthy benefits to your bread!
