Bought this as an anniversary surprise for my husband - a King cake addict. It was fantastic!! Easy to make, too. Had a baby left over from last year, no harm done.

Loved this cake! Great directions, turned out wonderfully, and was delicious! Brought it to work and my friend who lived in New Orleans said it was the best King Cake she ever had. I used a jelly bean for the baby!!

The cake is good, but it really needs the baby to finish the tradition. When I lived and worked in New Oreans, we had one every Friday for the whole season: epiphany on Jan. 5 to actual Mardi Gras date. Don't forget the colorful bead necklaces and some chicory coffee!

I've used this mix for several years now. It's excellent! And cheaper than having a King Cake shipped from Louisiana.

Granny, the following year? How about the next week? Some business folks have one each day with coffee! LOL!

Where's the "little baby" that is stuffed into the cake ? Whoever gets the piece of cake with the "baby" has to bake the king cake the following year!
Hi there. While we know and love the tradition of the baby in the cake, for several reasons we no longer include them in the mix. You should be able to find one at the local party or craft store. MJR @ KAF

Great quality, easy to make and great to give as a present for that Mardi Gras party.
