Great product if only did not CRACK after approx using it 10 times. Due to the fact that I had the bowl over two years King A rep offered to sell me another at 60% off original price. They advised they were selling the same defective bowls because they sold well. They are defective.

I ordered this item 11/5/08 and received it soon after. I've hand washed this item and never put it in the dishwasher; however, it now has cracks on the bottom. Don't buy this item until they have fixed the cracking problem, which I believe is a manufacturing issue.

This bowl, if it worked, would be the workhorse of my kitchen. I take good care of my kitchen tools, but this bowl won't stand up. I've ordered it twice, and both times, it has developed deep cracks. I followed all of the care instructions, but the bowl just failed.

I love this bowl! The lip makes it easy to move from counter to fridge or sink and it truly is lightweight. Uses for this bowl are endless. The generous width and depth provide room to fully submerge large items such as sweet corn and potatoes. Lots of room for an ice bath too. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this item. It makes a nice gift too. My recipients were thrilled

I love this bowl because it holds so much and is so sturdy yet lightweight. I bought it to make bread dough in but once I started using it I realized it was perfect for every kind of mixing and even tossing a salad! I love the square neck too, makes it easy to grip.

O.K., I finally broke down and ordered this product - and I was, at first, very pleased with it. My complaint is that after a few (hand) washings (it was NEVER placed into a dishwasher!), the bowl began to develop these horrific scratches all over it! The result of the scratches was that I could not ever use the bowl as a serving piece, however, I still was able to use it for mixing and proofing extra-large batches of bread dough - that is - until it developed a very deep crack on the bottom, resulting in it leaking anything of a liquid nature placed into it. Needless to say, at this point I was forced to just get rid of the bowl, as it was now rendered totally useless! This was all too bad - as it was a great bowl - for the first few uses. I really enjoyed having a great big bowl for my double batches of bread dough! All in all, and especially compared to all of the other products that I have purchased over the years here on KA, this was one item that turned out to be a major disappointment!
