it is a bit hard to spread on dough. I just put the opened can into my oven with the interior light on. The warmth of the oven softens the schmear and makes it much easier to spread. Tastes great and was excellent in my chocolate challah.

The taste was good but the texture is not good for what I was making, it was too thick, I was making a yeast raised strudel and when I tried to spread this filling it tore my dough. I was using it at room temperature; it was not cold. I had planned to make 3 strudels with the chocolate filling and ended making just one; when it was baked, we thought it was too dry. The Almond schmear and the cinnamon filling are wonderful and work perfectly with my recipe. I recommend them, but not this chocolate stuff. If it could be made a bit more spreadable I would definitely try it again. I am sorry this did not work out for you. very disappointed.....does not spread easily...tears the cookie/bread dought as you try to spread it...will not purchase again.....

I use this to make Chocolate Rugelach. It's delicious. Not too sweet so it goes well with sugary dough. I also use it for Chocolate Babka!

This is a wonderful product. Everyone loved the taste and the texture of the schmear. The only thing I will try to change is the consistency. It was a bit difficult to spread on the soft dough. I will try heating it a bit before spreading.

Staight out of the can to my yeast bread batter!! It couldn't be any eaiser to get a great chocolate filling in a kugleholf, pastry ring, etc.

Easy to use, so very tasty, and a real hit with the kids (not a surprise). I like to use it in my almond cookies (I use the nut-shaped molds from King Arthur flour) instead of the praline recipe that comes with the cookie recipte.

I thought this item didn't have the quality chocolate flavor I was looking for. I will not order this again, I will make my own ganache next time I need a chocolate filling.

I purchased this not knowing what to truly expect as I hadn't hearf of it before. I had no particular use in mind, just experimentation. I will tell you that this is truly thick, not spreadable, I actually had to add a little milk and warm it in the microwave. The "experimental" recipe I created was Blackout Cheesecake Swirl Brownies. They were wonderful....rich, but fantastic. As this is so thick, I'm almost wondering how the Cinnamon Schmear is (could I spread in on cinnamon roll dough??). Overall, an excellent product with limitless recipe possibilities.

The Cinnamon Schmear is thinner than the chocolate, but still thicker than the Baker's Cinnamon filling mix. I do heat it up a bit to make it more spreadable when using on soft dough. MJR @ KAF
