Wonderful product. Better than corn syrup -- not that high sugar rush. Nice consistency and buttery taste. A little pricey but worth it. Pecan pie was great!

I used the recipe for the mini tart pecan pies only made full size pies for a holiday dinner party. Folks said it was the best pecan pie they ever tasted.

Could I use this instead of molasses in a fruitcake recipe?? I used it for the upside-down-apple-cake recipe here on this site, and it was FANTASTIC.

That should work just fine. You'll miss out a bit on the depth of molasses flavor and color, but the recipe should still perform. MJR @ KAF

I have been using this syrup for the last 2 years since my daughter was born w. legume & corn allergies. You can substitue corn syrup 1:1 in any recipe with this and it is just as tastey. After adjusting our diets to accomodate her allergies, we would never go back to preservatives & processed 'unnatural' sugars!

Ordered this on a whim, and used in a favorite bread recipe in place of corn syrup. Gave my bread a great flavor. Looking forward to using again.

Like Black Angus, I'm another Canadian who's always had Lyle's golden syrup, and Lyle's Black Treacle as household staples. Rogers Golden Syrup, made in Vancouver BC, is another great 100% pure cane syrup with no additives to have on hand for baking or topping hot fruit scones & especially, scotch pancakes with bananas! Yum! Rogers is a wee bit thinner than Lyle's but both syrups absolutely lovely in taste, with Lyle's winning first place by a nose! I Highly recommend this product, you'll not regret buying it!

As a Canadian, I've been eating this since I was a child ... and that wasn't yesterday! It's lovely especially on ice cream. It becomes toffee-like. MMMMMMMMMMM!

This is a great syrup, with a golden buttery flavor. I use it for baking, sauces, and glazes. Try it; you won't go back to Karo!! For those looking for larger sizes: British Food Depot.
