England's favorite: Maldon Crystal Sea Salt

The salt of choice for England’s finest chefs!

  • An all-natural, no-additive sea salt dried into delicate crystalline, pyramid-shaped flakes.
  • Crumbles gently in the fingers, and is beautiful atop breads or crackers.
  • Less salty than fine-grained salt, it pairs well with sugar and nuts in streusel and dessert toppings.
  • In 8.5-ounce box.
Try using Maldon Crystal Sea Salt in our recipe for Chocolate Caramel Almond Crunch Brownies . Really! You’ll love our Chewy Semolina Rye Bread and soft, feathery French Asiago Bubble Bread .

This salt is perfect for topping focaccia along with some chopped rosemary and olive oil. The salt has a very clean salt taste. This time I purchased it, I was a little disappointed, as there was not as many full pyramids. Most of them were broken. Probably due to the shipping. Overall, the salt is an excellent purchase.

I find it saltier than Kosher salt, love the flavor though and it's so pretty!

I love having the flaked salt on hand when I am cooking, dissolves completely.

I never thought of salt having a flavor, but this is excellent. We use it in soups, sprinkle it on meats, salads, etc. You can crush the crystals in your fingers as you are sprinkling it.

As the other reviewer mentioned, this sea salt is not at all bitter. The visual aspect of this salt is huge. A salted tomato slice becomes a visual celebration. Your bread will look gorgeous if you rub with olive oil and sprinkle some of this on before baking. I can't speak too highly of Maldon - it's the only finishing salt we use.

the best salt I have ever used. I am a real salt user. The salt is not bitter. The crystals have a slight crunch if eatten immediatley. Melts quicklyand nicely. it has been highly reccommended by food critics. Great sprinked on meat right before eatting to catch the slight crunch and sweet melting flavor. Sea salt too is lower in sodium than the noraml table salt. Really the BEST. Try a sprinkle on cantalope or butter pecan ice cream to bring out the foods flavor.
