You need the right tool for the job
This tool is ideal for all kinds of chores, from mixing muffin batter to tossing together a fruit pie filling. It's the "mini" version of our 15-inch dough whisk (of which we've sold thousands over the years).
• Thick, wooden handle allows for a more ergonomic grip.
• Unique flow-through design gently blends muffin, pancake, and other batters you don't want to beat, for fear of toughening your baked treats.
• Ideal for small batches of yeast bread dough, too.
• Fashioned of beechwood and stainless steel.
• 11 1/4" long.

I was skeptical when I first received this whisk. But after using it for several times for brownie and muffin batters, I really love this tool! I think the "mini" is the best size - I can't imagine using the larger size. The handle is a bit rough, but it doesn't bother me too much. Hopefully it'll withstand multiple uses/hand washes and not rust.

Boy am I impressed with this neat tool! I ordered it out of curiosity more than anything because of the reviews. I just had to see for myself how it actually worked. Mixed up my batter with a minimal amount of stirring so I didn't over work it. I'm using it to make cookies today. It's bigger than I expected and an ideal size I think. I'm not sure I'd ever need the big one. I'd sure recommend this item! My daughter will be getting one of these for Christmas, along with the Wisconsin Mixing Bowls.

It's a decent tool, but the handle is rough and unpleasant to the touch. Oiling it does not fix this, the problem is that the handle needs sanding. Of course it's not the end of the world to do so yourself (as I did) but it would have been nice if the maker had finished the job properly.

This is the coolest tool I have in my kitchen! I plan on buying them as gifts for my family at Christmas. This makes easy work of everything I have used it for. I did oil it as other reviews noted. It made it easier to handle, I think I'll have my husband sand it a little and keep oiling it. I am going to also get another one for me!

This is great for mixing anything. Every kitchen should have this tool. Great tip from a previous reviewer on rubbing mineral oil on the wood handle. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the tip from Arlene regarding rubbing mineral oil on the handle. I too thought the handle had a little roughness to it but your suggestion works great. I really like this whisk.

This mini whisk proves to be a little work-horse; when you mix up batters all the lumps disappear without any effort at all.

This was my starter whisk from King Arthur; I went on to buy the larger one too. The ONLY issue is that the wood handle is quite rough. This is easily remedied though by applying some mineral oil (purchased at the pharmacy in the laxative area...seriously) to the handle. I highly recommend doing so after the first wash. It makes using the whisk a whole lot nicer

I made 144 biscotti this year for x-mas gifts. The most challenging step in the process was mixing the biscotti dough. I got smart and ordered this dough whisk and have used it for the first time. Geeze, what a difference! Cut my time in half. Highly recommend!
