I was taking a professional pastry course. Homework was to bake a chocolate chiffon cake. Some classmates used Hershy cocoa and the cake was pale and dry. My cake was dark and moist but those 2 students which use the Trader Joe's cocoa had the best color and taste of all.

This is a great product and use your brand whenever I have to use natural cocoa. So much better than grocery store brands.

This is the best natural, unsweetened cocoa I have used. Thanks for always offering such great products! I don't feel bad sharing recipes because KAF products give my baking goods the extra OOMPH

Although I recommend this item, I must complain about the packaging. The cocoa had a slit in the package, and everything in the box, not to mention my sweater when was covered with cocoa. The last few orders I've received have had squashed boxes of mix and had generally not been in good shape.

Great product! I gave this five stars even though it is limited in it's use versus dutched cocoa. It IS excellent in my uses! Bev: many great sites on the web that will guide you in the dutched/undutched cocoa debate. For 'general' use, undutched is fine... IMO. Serious bakers use one or the other for their specific needs.
