Does this work well for savory pretzels? I like the flavor of mine, but they could use some help on apperance.
This malt works as a sweetener, so you would want to try Diastatic malt powder instead.

This product helps to produce the best bagels, using a KAF recipe, of course! I also add it to yeast bread recipes.

Has anyone used this malt powder to make a malted shake? Was it good? I'm looking for a non-dairy malted milkshake recipe.
Hi Joshua,
I asked around the test kitchen, and yes you can use this for malted milkshakes. It is sweeter than malted milk powder, so experiment with sugar etc. until you get a flavor you are happy with. Enjoy! MJR @ KAF

I made bagels last week with brown sugar and this week with the non-diastatic malt powder. The difference is amazing! I highly recommend this to anyone considering making bagels, it made them taste like real bagels.

I used the non-diastatic malt powder in the baby bagels dough recipe (found here at King Flour under recipes) and in the water bath for the bagels. The flavor and rise of the bagels was perfect. The malt added a true bagel flavor. I would recommend this product in your bagel making and other bread products. It truly works and the taste is wonderful!
