I must admit, I was a little hesitant about ordering this after reading some of the comments, but I'm very happy I did so. The grinder works great and is easy to clean. I'm very happy with the purchase.

This is a handy little nut grinder. Much easier than chop chop on the cutting board, and much neater. Have had no problems with it and have enjoyed using it.

Simple is best and that's just what this nut grinder is! Nothing to plug in - no sharp blades to mess with - just add the nuts and turn the handle - simple as that!

Works better than the Moha chopper for creating even pieces, however, I find little if any difference between fine and coarse grinds. Though it says it's dishwasher safe, I do not recommend putting it into the dishwasher as mine developed cracks after one washing, and the metal parts do not seem to be stainless steel. I continue to use it, but it would be easier to clean if it came apart in the middle to give easier access the grinding mechanism. I think people who have complained about it popping open may have overloaded it. Grinding needs to be done in small batches.

Grinds nuts well, however, top section no longer stays on (not enough threads) and top pops off when I'm grinding making a terrible mess. Really disappointed. Works well for chopping nuts to small pieces for toppings,like the one my mom has from the 50's. If you want fine grind or coarse chop this is not what you are looking to use. Also,the harder the nut the more difficult it will chop.

This item is fantastic. We had an old fashioned (antique) nut mill and didn't realize just how worn out it was until we bought this. We love it as all products we have purchased from King Arthur. All items so far are of top quality and we wouldn't hesitate to buy and keep buying products from King Arthur again, and will.

I am going to return this because the top becomes unscrewed while you are chopping nuts. I purchased one locally instead.

I've had this grinder for about 2 years. I use it to chop pecans and walnuts. Almonds are too hard for this device -- I use a food processor for them. I do have to hold it down to keep the top from twisting off while turning the crank. That said, I love this grinder and use it regularly for anything from a handful to 2 cups of nuts.
