Pearl sugar takes waffles to a whole delicious level above any other waffle. We love to sprinkle pearl sugar right over our waffle batter just before closing the iron.... it creates the most delicious sweet crunch within the fluffiness of the waffle...yummy!!

To make pearl sugar run sugar cubes through a nut grinder.
Pearl sugar is actually little chunks of sugar that look like chunks of confectionary sugar. They are opague not translucent as sugar cubes would be. JMD @KAF

I would like to add my vote to Bob C's... and will hope that you will start carrying the Belgian Pearl Sugar! I LOVE to make the Liege waffles, but I've found only one source for the sugar and it's prohibitively expensive! With shipping, I paid over $12 for a half pound box! I hope YOU carry it in the near future!

I've not sed this but it'sscndanavian (orDanish) pearled sugar. Evryone's (not KAF)recomending this as Belgian pearled sugar, which it's not. KAF wold you please also sell the Belgian pearled sugar? Don't want to be seen as f(l)avoring 1 nation over another, right? Belgian pearl sugar melts and you can't make Liege waffles without it and it's almost impossible to find. Thanks!
I've put your request on our customer wish list. Molly @ KAF

KAF, you stole my idea for Pearl sugar by topping pretzels! Curse you! It does make a spectacular, tasty topping for any of the pretzels in Maida Heatter's cookie books. Oddly, it's not sweet, sweet so it does not overpower the taste of the cookie.
